Pumzi-(Breath)

Pumzi is a breath of fresh air and a landmark in African film-making as far I am concerned. Director Wanuri Kahiu delivers the image of the future coupled with an impact-filled message wrapped in a 20-minute short feature.

I got to see Pumzi (Breath in Swahili) during its its premier in Nairobi and again at a private screening in Mombasa.. (ok i know people, don’t hate the player hate the game) But if you get a chance to watch this film.. don’t sleep on it.

Pumzi recently made its North American premier as an official selection at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. Do i smell an oscar in 2011?
