Don’t miss the 17th Annual African Film Festival that opened yesterday April 7th and will run until May 31st at various NY locations. Under the theme, ”Independent Africa” the festival will spotlight 17 African Nations ( Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Cote D’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Democratic Republic of Congo, Gabon, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia and Togo) as they observe 50 years of independence from colonial rule.
