Time Magazine has a knack for effectively simplifying complex subjects and has done so this week (July 21 2008) with it’s cover article Mandela at 90 – The Secrets of Leadership. This is the 4th occasion that Mandela has graced the cover of Time.
The article was written by Time Managing Editor Richard Stengel who helped Mandela write his popular autobiography Long Walk to Freedom. He also wrote an interesting sidebar A Leader for the Ages in which he accounts his personal experiences working with Mandela and there is a great slide show which he narrates entitled Nelson Mandela: Modern Hero.

The THIS DAY concert held on July 11th at Dome, looks like it was off the hook!.. all this stars in one day in the plush city of Abuja, Nigeria.
The Concert is the brain child of this man Nduka Obaigbena, who is the Editor in chief and founder of the Nigerian Newspaper.
This year the festival featured headliners like Usher and Rihanna who brought Jay-Z out for a duet, while the fashion part of the festival featured models Naomi Campbell, Tyson Beckford, Alek Wek, Oluchi, and designers Chris Aire and our favourite designer Ozwald Boateng. Mr. Obaigbena has held this mammoth summer concert since 2006, His goal is to “promote Nigeria’s economic and political progress” he elaborates to the NY TIMES.
This Year the festival will make it’s international debut with stops in Washington DC’s Kennedy Center on August 1 with Beyoncé and Seal as headliners, and in London on October 14.
Below are pics and video of Jay-Z and Memphis Bleek’s set from the show in Abuja,Nigeria enjoy.

In Kiswahili, we also tweaked the Obama rising “O” with Kenya’s National colors to show our support for
our galant Son!
Feel free to access the link and download the high resolution Poster and use it on you Computer desktops, foward to friends etc.. nothing but Upendo!
